Support the studio
At the moment, ILESO DESIGN is just me: an architecture student designing, prototyping, printing, assembling, photographing and packing lamps from a bedroom workshop in Madrid.
Every lamp takes a surprising amount of time to get right. There are failed prints, test pieces, material experiments, packaging trials, website costs, electrical components, glass samples, tools, mistakes, and all the small things that slowly turn an idea into a real object.
Buying a lamp is obviously the best way to support the project. But if you like what I am trying to build and want to help in a smaller way, you can also leave a contribution here.
It helps me keep experimenting, develop new designs, improve the quality of the pieces, and make this little studio feel a bit more possible.
Thank you for being here, even just looking around already means a lot.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
This page is a small way to support ILESO DESIGN outside of buying a lamp. Contributions help with materials, prototypes, failed prints, packaging tests, tools, website costs and the slow process of developing new lighting pieces.
-
No. A contribution is not a product order and does not include a lamp or any physical item, unless clearly stated otherwise.
-
Mostly for the practical things behind the project: filament, bulbs, sockets, cables, packaging, test pieces, glass samples, photography, tools and all the experiments that happen before a finished lamp exists.
-
Yes. Any amount helps, whether it covers a coffee, part of a material test, or a small piece of the next prototype.
-
In general, contributions are voluntary and non-refundable. If you made a mistake or something went wrong during payment, please contact me and I’ll do my best to help.
-
No, not at the moment. ILESO DESIGN is an independent design project, not a registered charity or non-profit organisation.
-
Not automatically. The contribution is simply a way to support the project. That said, I’m very grateful for every bit of help, and it genuinely makes the work easier to continue.
-
Absolutely. Sharing the work, following ILESO DESIGN, sending feedback, buying a lamp, or telling someone about the project is already a huge help.
-
You can leave a message when contributing or contact me directly. I can’t promise that every idea will become a product, but I’m always happy to hear what people connect with.

ILESO DESIGN is currently a one-person lamp project run by Diego de la Maza, an architecture student from a small room-workshop in Madrid. Every lamp is designed, prototyped, made, photographed and packed by hand.
